Ubod, an alternative to Yazio
Ubod and Yazio are both calorie counters for iPhone and Android with a free plan and a paid subscription. Ubod lets free users log a meal from a photo of their plate a few times a day and shows no third-party ads; Yazio keeps its AI food tracking for Pro, shows ads on the free plan, and is the stronger choice for intermittent fasting, with about twenty fasting plans.

Moving from Yazio to Ubod
- Write down your current calorie target, your macro targets and your weight in Yazio.
- Install Ubod and answer the first questions (goal, weight, height, activity): Ubod works out your daily targets, and you can change them at any time.
- Log your usual foods again: scan their barcode, search for them or take a photo of your plate. Your recent foods then come back in one tap.
- Connect Apple Health or Health Connect so your steps and workouts count towards the day.
- Ubod cannot import a diary from Yazio: your past entries stay in Yazio, so export them there first if you want to keep a copy.
