Ubod's mascot

Meet Fanak.

A fennec fox from the Sahara, world champion of energy balance. And now, your coach.

Fanak

Chapter 1

Born where every calorie counts

In the Sahara, food is scarce and every bite counts. To survive, a fennec has to know exactly what a meal gives him: not too much, not too little. Fanak grew up with a single rule, the rule of the dunes: balance.

Chapter 2

Ears made for listening

His huge ears can hear a beetle scratching under the sand. In Ubod, they listen to your goals, your pace and your messy days. Fanak doesn't force a diet on you: he adapts to you.

Chapter 3

Supermarket shock

One evening, Fanak followed the smell of a croissant all the way to the city. Then the shock: aisles as far as the eye can see, unreadable labels, giant portions. He pulled out his magnifying glass and learned to decode every barcode. Today he knows more than 100,000 of them - and reads them to you in 2 seconds.

Chapter 4

He put his glasses on

Protein, carbs, fat, fibre: Fanak studied it all to become your coach. Snap your plate and he recognises the food. Ask him a question and he answers. Stuck on a recipe? He gives you its macros.

Chapter 5

The bandana, his black belt

Every day you log your meals, your streak grows - and Fanak's bandana changes colour, like a martial-arts belt. Green to start, yellow at 3 days, orange at 7, blue at 14, violet at 30, burgundy at 60... and gold at 100 days. Your move.

How Fanak helps you reach your weight

Lose, maintain or gain: same method, the desert's. It all starts from your calorie needs.

Lose weight

Fanak starts from your daily energy expenditure (TDEE) and aims for a reasonable deficit, often around 500 kcal a day. He shows what you have left to eat, celebrates every logged day and never lectures you.

Maintain

Dune mode: as much energy in as out. Fanak watches your weight trend over weeks, not the number on a single morning.

Gain weight or muscle

A measured surplus, often around 500 kcal a day, protein at every meal... and Fanak doing his squats with you.

What Fanak will never do

  • Starve you
  • Guilt-trip you
  • Promise you miracles

Fanak is a fennec, not a doctor. If you have a health condition, are pregnant or struggle with an eating disorder, talk to a health professional first.

Where to start?

Work out your BMI and your calorie needs, then let Fanak turn those numbers into today's goal.
