Ingredients
4 servings
- 1 raw bread dough
- 12 oval (Roma) tomatoes
- 6 basil leaves, chopped
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch of pepper
- 70 g of sugar
- 1 drizzle of olive oil
- 1 good pinch of oregano
Steps
- 1
Start by making a caramel: pour the sugar into the pan and leave over medium heat until it is well melted. Then, set aside in a silicone mold.
- 2
Spread the caramel in the bottom of the mold, then add the whole tomatoes. Start by placing the first tomatoes on the edges, finishing in the center, so that they are nicely arranged.
- 3
Pour the olive oil over the tomatoes, then season with salt and pepper and add oregano to taste.
- 4
For the raw bread dough: sprinkle with flour to prevent sticking. Roll it out with a rolling pin, then place it in the mold, on top of the tomatoes.
- 5
Fold the dough inside the mold to keep the preparation well sealed, then add olive oil by brushing lightly.
