Terms of Service

1. Purpose and acceptance
These terms govern your use of Ubod: the iPhone and Android app, the ubod.app website and the Ubod connector for AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude. By creating an account or using any of these services, you accept these terms and the privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use Ubod.
2. The service
Ubod is a nutrition tracking tool: you log your meals (search, AI photo scan, barcode), your water, your weight and your activity, you track your calories and macronutrients against a goal, and you browse recipes and consult an AI coach. We keep developing the service: features may be added, changed or removed.
3. Your account
You sign in with Google, Apple, a code sent to you by email or a password. You provide accurate information and keep your login credentials confidential; you are responsible for anything done from your account. An account is personal and must not be shared.
4. Not medical advice
Ubod gives nutritional guidance for information only: calorie goals, AI estimates, food values. It is not medical advice, a diagnosis or a treatment. Ask a doctor or a dietitian for advice before changing your diet, especially in case of pregnancy, illness, medical treatment or an eating disorder. In an emergency, call emergency services.
5. Nutrition data and estimates
Food values come from public sources (the ANSES Ciqual table, Open Food Facts), from manufacturers or from our users, and the photo scan gives an estimate. They may contain errors: check portions and correct a food when needed.
6. Free plan and Pro subscription
Ubod offers a free plan and a Pro subscription, monthly or yearly, sometimes with a free trial. The subscription is sold by the App Store, Google Play or, on the web, by our reseller Paddle, depending on how you buy it. It renews automatically at the displayed price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage and cancel the subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings, or from the link sent to you by email for a web purchase.
7. Money-back guarantee
If Ubod Pro isn't right for you, request a refund within 30 days of your first payment. For a purchase on Google Play or on the web, just ask us. For a purchase on the App Store, the refund is requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, and Apple makes the decision. The details are set out in the refund policy.
8. AI assistants (ChatGPT, Claude)
The Ubod connector lets an AI assistant use your account at your request: search for foods and recipes, log meals, read your day and your progress, change your goals. You authorize it from the Ubod sign-in page and you can remove this access at any time in the assistant's settings. The assistant acts on your instructions: check what it records, especially before a deletion. Ubod does not receive your conversations, only the tool requests and their results, as described in the privacy policy. ChatGPT and Claude are services of OpenAI and Anthropic, subject to their own terms; Ubod is not responsible for their answers.
9. Acceptable use
You must not circumvent the limits of the service, extract the food or recipe database by automated means, disrupt or attack our servers, access another person's account, or use Ubod for any illegal purpose. We may suspend an account that breaks these rules.
10. Your content
You keep your content (meals, recipes, photos, notes). You authorize us to store and process it to run the service, under the conditions of the privacy policy. A recipe you choose to share can be seen by the people you share it with.
11. Intellectual property
Ubod's app, website, connector, design, Fanak mascot, texts and code are protected. You may not copy, modify or distribute them without our permission.
12. Liability
We do our best to keep the service available and accurate, but we cannot guarantee it. To the extent permitted by law, Ubod is not liable for health decisions made based on the service, or for indirect damages. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law guarantees you as a consumer.
13. Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time from Profile, Settings, Account. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought on the App Store or Google Play: cancel it in the store as well. Your data is then deleted as set out in the privacy policy.
14. Changes
We may change these terms. If there is a significant change, we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Ubod after that time constitutes acceptance.
