Steps

  1. 1

Dissolve the yeast in a little lukewarm milk. Let it foam for 10 minutes.

  2. 2

In a bowl, pour in 250 g of flour, salt, and sugar, then mix.

  3. 3

Make a well and pour in the egg, cooled melted butter, and milk mixed with the yeast.

  4. 4

Using a stand mixer with a dough hook, work the dough. Add the rest of the lukewarm milk little by little. If the dough is too sticky, add the remaining flour little by little. The dough should remain slightly sticky.

  5. 5

Form a ball, place it in a bowl covered with a kitchen towel, and let it rise for 1 hour 30 minutes.

  6. 6

Punch down the dough and form 9 pieces. Place 1 piece of mozzarella in each piece and shape 9 nice, smooth balls.

  7. 7

Place the balls in a baking dish, slightly spaced out as they will puff up. Cover with a kitchen towel and let rise for 30 minutes.

  8. 8

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Brush the dough with a mixture of milk and egg and sprinkle with white sesame seeds. Bake for 15/20 minutes.
