Ingredients

4 servings

  • lasagna sheets (no pre-cooking required)
  • 600 g of Bolognese sauce (ready-made, such as Panzani)
  • 350 g of ground meat
  • 1 onion
  • 100 g of grated Gruyère
  • 0.5 l of milk
  • 2 heaping tablespoons of flour
  • 125 g of butter

Steps

  1. 1

Chop the onion into small pieces and sauté in olive oil.

  2. 2

When the onions have browned well, add the 350g of ground beef.

  3. 3

Cook over medium heat then add the bolognese sauce.

  4. 4

Prepare the béchamel sauce. Melt the butter over high heat.

  5. 5

Once melted, add the two tablespoons of flour and stir with a whisk over medium heat.

  6. 6

When the mixture is smooth (very quick), gradually add the milk without stopping whisking to avoid lumps.

  7. 7

Continue stirring until the béchamel thickens.

  8. 8

Mix the previously prepared bolognese sauce with the béchamel.

  9. 9

Then, in a baking dish, pour a layer of this mixture and cover with lasagna noodles. Repeat the process until the sauce is used up (about 2 times).

  10. 10

The last layer must be a layer of sauce. Add the grated Gruyère cheese and bake for about 45 minutes at 180°C (gas mark 6).

  11. 11

To check if the lasagna is cooked, pierce with a knife; the pasta should be tender, so the knife should slide in without any problem.
